Terms & Conditions

  1. The 20% deposit is non-refundable. The balance of the fee is due for payment no later than four weeks prior to the start of the course. If cancellation is made between 4 - 8 weeks before the start of the course it will result in 50% of the course fee being due. Cancellation 4 weeks before the start will result in the full course fee being due.
  2. We always endeavor to complete a course as specified, however these are very weather dependant activities. If the weather is unsuitable, e.g. all high-level routes would be considered hazardous/high risk, an alternative activity will be offered. This could involve a low-level walk or instructional day such as navigation or bushcraft. There will be no refund for a day where an alternative activity can be arranged. If the weather conditions are so bad it prevents any activity taking place, then we will cancel and give a full refund for that day.
  3. G.Yeomans is covered by Public Liability insurance. Course participants are recommended to take out cancellation and personal insurance cover. Swinton Insurance (tel. 0800 409 6488) offer a good value 10 day cover cancellation policy. Insure and Go offer personal insurance cover for outdoor activities.
  4. G.Yeomans’ courses are undertaken in the outdoors, which by its nature is never completely free from hazard. While all precautions are taken to minimise these hazards the client must accept that accidents including serious injury and death can occur without G.Yeomans being at fault. The client also recognises that G.Yeomans is not responsible for loss or damage of personal property. In addition, participation of a course run by G.Yeomans does not qualify a participant to instruct/teach any of these activities to third parties. No responsibility is accepted by G.Yeomans for any incident where a client fails to follow instructions or information given by G.Yeomans; nor will responsibility be accepted for a client following instruction or information given by a third party not authorised by G.Yeomans.
  5. If you have any problems with a course or wish to complain, please let us know as soon as possible, and we will make every effort to rectify the problem. Any written complaints should be forwarded to G.Yeomans
